Industrial Portugal Gateway

LDG initiative for industrial investment in Portugal

The Industrial Portugal Gateway (IPG) is an initiative by Luso Defense Group that supports companies in the Defense, Security, Dual-Use Technology and Advanced Manufacturing sectors seeking to establish, expand or develop industrial operations in Portugal.

Through an integrated approach, IPG connects companies, institutional partners and industrial capabilities, supporting investment projects and the development of new industrial capacity.

What is it

The Industrial Portugal Gateway supports industrial investment by guiding companies through every stage of their project, from the initial assessment to the start of operations. It brings together expertise in legal and regulatory frameworks, institutional coordination, project development, partner coordination, implementation management and post-establishment support, providing investors with a single point of contact throughout the process.

Why Portugal

Portugal offers an attractive environment for industrial investment, combining political and economic stability, access to the European market, proximity to Atlantic and Iberian markets, a highly skilled workforce and an increasingly innovation-driven business ecosystem. These conditions make Portugal a competitive location for high-value industrial projects and for companies seeking to strengthen their presence in Europe.

Portalgue district first

The Industrial Portugal Gateway adopts a Portalegre district first approach, recognising the industrial potential of the Portalegre District and Alto Alentejo, its proximity to the Spanish border and the conditions for developing an industrial cooperation hub with an Iberian outlook. While not excluding other locations, IPG identifies this region as a strategic starting point for attracting investment, strengthening industrial capabilities and creating long-term value.

How LDG Supports

LDG provides tailored support throughout each project's lifecycle, from the initial assessment to implementation and operational follow-up. Support may include project evaluation, coordination with institutional and industrial partners, guidance on legal and regulatory frameworks, project coordination and assistance throughout the implementation and operational phases. Every project is assessed individually, taking into account its objectives, requirements and specific context.
